Wow Wow Wow, what an amazing place. If you are looking for absolute peace and tranquility then Shanti House in Lamu is the place to go. Amazing setting right on the beach with breathtaking sunset, great beach walks, etc.
The staff where great and Steven the house assistant was there to help with anything when needed. Although there is great restaurants around, no need to go out and look for restaurants as the chef Katana was amazing and his food was spectacular.
I highly recommend Shanti House for anyone looking for an amazing beach holiday experience.

Paradise! The Shanti Beach House was an exceptional place to spend our last week in Kenya. The staff was excellent and answered any questions that we had about the island, traveling to Shela/Lamu or the food.
We never did try any of the restaurants as Katana’s cooking was magnificent. Any little hint of what we might like to try for a meal and he made it happen!
The accommodations were exactly as described, but the outdoor shower was the best part!
Leave your cares behind and unwind at this beautiful beach front property. I highly recommend!!

This place is magic. The house is one of a kind: its open layout makes you feel you are fully embraced by beautiful nature. The open patio overlooking the sea is luxurious. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Kudos to Steven, Katana and Atman to make us feel at home. The house is a unique paradise, at arms length from the crowds of Shela, but with all the possibility to enjoy the activities around Lamu. We will definitely be back!
